Casa
de Ofelia
is located in beautiful Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico. The
warm climate averages 85 degrees all year long, with
constant sunshine. Casa de Ofelia is 1/2 block from the ocean and
is a 6 short
blocks from the old historic Mazatlan. Located in a residential
neighborhood, it provides a chance to experience authentic Mexico away
from the tourist scene and high rise hotels. Buy freshly made
corn tortillas hot off the tortilla machine down at the corner. Or take
a leisurely stroll through the narrow streets of Old Mazatlan.
Visit the central mercado (market) where locals are busy going
about their everyday lives. Sit on a park bench in the shade in
the central plaza and enjoy a cold helado (ice cream).
Hop a ride one of Mazatlan's famous Pulmonias. Pulmonias are open-air taxis,
little more than golf-carts powered by Volkswagen Bug engines. Take a waterfront stroll back
to Gaby's house and enjoy Mazatlan's famous sunsets.
Dine in the many
restaurants in Old Mazatlan
